Tucana values the contributions of our speakers and prioritises their ability to share insights freely and confidently. To ensure a productive and respectful environment for all attendees, we have established the following media attendance policy:
Accredited Media Only:
All media representatives must be pre-approved and accredited by the event organisers. Accreditation requests must include the name, organisation, and intended coverage focus.
Session Attendance:
Media representatives may attend designated sessions unless explicitly marked as “closed to media” by the speaker or organisers.
Closed-door sessions will not be open for media attendance, and no recording, quoting, or reporting is permitted in these sessions.
Recording and Reporting:
Video or audio recording of sessions is prohibited without prior written consent from the event organisers and the session speaker(s).
Media representatives must attribute quotes or insights directly to the session speaker or the event, with prior approval for direct quotes.
Speaker Approval for Interviews:
Interviews with speakers must be pre-arranged and approved by both the speaker and the event organisers.
Non-Disruption Clause:
Media presence should not disrupt the event or hinder attendee participation.
Privacy and Confidentiality:
Media representatives are required to respect attendee and speaker privacy. Sensitive information shared during sessions must not be reported unless explicitly authorised.
Social Media Coverage:
Live tweeting and posting on social media are encouraged, provided they adhere to the above guidelines and do not disclose content from closed sessions.
