Amy Armitage is an expert in human capital investment, workforce transformation, and the future of work. As a Program Director and thought leader at The Conference Board (TCB), she leads the Human Capital Analytics and Future Workforce Strategy and Planning Councils and has directed several of TCB’s flagship events on workforce sustainability, leadership, and human capital analytics.

 

In 2025, she organized a global business team at TCB charged with Reimagining the Future of European Business, featuring over 80 speakers and 500 executives from across Europe. Amy also founded the Human Capital Investment and Reporting Council (HC IRC), a community advancing best practices in workforce transparency and sustainability, and convenes Human Capital Impact, a global network dedicated to enhancing the value of human capital.

 

Previously, she served as Managing Director of Research Working Groups for i4cp and held leadership roles in three global consultancies. Active in nonprofit leadership, she serves as Membership and Engagement Chair for the YaleWomen Governance Council and contributes to ISO working groups on global human capital standards (ISO 30414) and workforce wellbeing. Amy holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a BA from Duke University.

 


Amy Armitage loves working on the business challenges of workforce transformation, transparency, and sustainability. An expert in human capital investment and the future of work, she has served for seven years as a Program Director and thought leader at The Conference Board (TCB) where she leads the Human Capital Analytics and the Future Workforce Strategy and Planning Councils, along with several of TCB’s major events. 

In 2025, she organized a global business team at TCB charged with Reimagining the Future of European Business with over 80 speakers and 500 member executives across TCB’s entire European membership. 

She served as Program Director at TCB for several future of work events:

She brings to her work a depth of experience in the facilitation, start-up, and growth of executive councils, research working groups, and executive forums. 

Amy founded the Human Capital Investment and Reporting Council (HC IRC), a community forum designed to advance “next practice” solutions in human capital investment, transparency in reporting, and workforce sustainability. She is the convenor for Human Capital Impact, a global expert network dedicated to enhancing the impact and value of the workforce. 

She served as the Managing Director of Research Working Groups for a Seattle-based membership organization, i4cp, and held leadership roles in three global consultancies.

Active in nonprofit leadership, she was elected to serve as Membership and Engagement Chair for the YaleWomen Governance Council. She now contributes to two ISO working groups on global human capital standards (ISO 30414) and workforce wellbeing. Amy holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management (finance, marketing) and a BA from Duke University (labor economics, public policy).
