Kate Ashworth is Global HR Technology & AI Governance Director at IBM, with nearly two decades of experience at the intersection of HR, data and AI. She sits on IBM’s AI Ethics Board as the focal for HR and Talent, where she designs governance frameworks, standards and controls to ensure AI systems are trustworthy, compliant and aligned with human values.

Kate has led large-scale HR technology and analytics transformations, deploying chatbots, digital workers, RPAs and automation across global workforces to improve employee experience, reduce cost and strengthen data privacy. An award-winning HR executive, she is recognised for building robust HR governance models, optimising platforms such as Workday and SAP SuccessFactors, and embedding ethical AI, security and compliance into end-to-end people operations.
